Admissions

Applicants seeking enrollment in New Salem Bible Institute should meet the following general requirements:

1. Salvation & Spiritual Commitment

Applicants must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate a desire to grow spiritually.

2. Church Connection

Applicants should be actively connected to a local church and, preferably, serving in some area of ministry.

3. Sense of Calling

Applicants should express a clear or developing call to ministry, leadership, or deeper biblical study.

4. Completed Application

All applicants must submit a completed application, including:

• Personal information

• Salvation testimony

• Statement of purpose / call to ministry

‍5. Character & Conduct

Applicants must demonstrate Christian character, integrity, and a willingness to live according to biblical principles.

6. Willingness to Learn & Commit

Applicants must be willing to:

• Attend classes consistently

• Complete assignments

• Participate in discussions and ministry development

• Receive instruction, correction, and mentorship

7. Agreement to Institute Standards

All students must agree to uphold the values, expectations, and code of conduct of New Salem Bible Institute.

8. Age Requirement Applicants should be at least 18 years of age

Application Fee: $50

Covers the cost of the class and all materials

Materials May Include:

• Bible (required – any reliable translation such as KJV, NKJV, ESV)

• Workbooks or study guides

• Ministry training resources

• Instructor-provided materials.

Some materials may be provided digitally at no additional cost.

At Serving Hands Bible Institute, we are committed to making biblical education accessible to all. Through our scholarship program, qualified applicants may receive a full-tuition scholarship, covering the entire cost of enrollment.

Available Scholarship

Full Tuition Scholarship

This scholarship covers 100% of tuition costs for one course term. Scholarships are limited and awarded based on qualification, commitment, and availability.

Eligibility Requirements

For Church Members (New Salem MB Church):

• Must be an active member in good standing
• Must demonstrate consistent participation (worship, Bible study, or ministry involvement)
• Must complete the Institute application
• Must submit a brief statement of interest

For Non-Members:

• Must complete the Institute application
• Must submit a written statement (150–300 words) explaining:
  
  • Your desire to study the Word
  • How this Institute will support your spiritual growth

Selection Criteria

Scholarships are awarded based on:

• Demonstrated commitment to spiritual growth
• Clarity of purpose and calling
• Faithfulness and consistency (for members)
• Financial need (when applicable)
• Availability of scholarship funds

Expectations for Scholarship Recipients

Recipients are expected to:

• Attend all classes regularly
• Participate actively in coursework and discussions
• Complete all assignments
• Uphold a Christ-like attitude and integrity

Failure to meet these expectations may result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
