Serving Hands CDC – Donor Terms & Conditions

Serving Hands Community Development Corporation (“Serving Hands CDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing community outreach, educational support, and charitable services to individuals and families in need. These Donor Terms and Conditions outline the expectations, rights, and responsibilities of donors who financially support our mission.
- Charitable Purpose
All donations made to Serving Hands CDC are used to support our mission, programs, services, and operations in alignment with our charitable purpose and organizational budget. Serving Hands CDC maintains full control and discretion over the use of all donated funds.
- Tax-Deductible Contributions
Serving Hands CDC is a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors should consult with their personal tax advisor regarding deductibility.
- Donation Methods
Donations may be made by:
- Cash
- Check
- Credit or debit card
- Online giving platforms
- Electronic transfer (ACH or wire)
All donations are processed securely to protect donor information.
- Restricted & Designated Gifts
Donors may request that a contribution support a specific program or area of ministry. Serving Hands CDC will make every reasonable effort to honor the donor’s preference; however, Serving Hands CDC retains discretion and final authority over the use of all gifts in accordance with IRS guidelines for charitable giving.
- Recurring Gifts
Recurring donations may be modified or cancelled by the donor at any time by contacting the Serving Hands CDC office or through the online donor portal, if available.
- Refund Policy
Generally, donations are considered final and non-refundable. If a donation is made in error, please contact Serving Hands CDC within 10 business days so we may review and determine whether an adjustment is appropriate.
- Donor Privacy
Serving Hands CDC values and protects donor privacy.
We will not sell, rent, or share donor personal information with any outside organization, except:
- if required by law,
- to process donations
- or with the donor’s permission.

- Public Recognition
Serving Hands CDC may publicly acknowledge donors unless the donor requests anonymity. Donors choosing anonymous status may notify the organization in writing or through the donation process.
- Use of Donor Data
Donor information may be used for:
- receipts and acknowledgments,
- communication regarding programs,
- donor appreciation,
- annual fundraising appeals,
- financial reporting,
- and compliance with applicable laws.
Donors may opt out of communications at any time.
- Financial Accountability
Serving Hands CDC maintains responsible financial stewardship including:
- annual budgeting,
- board financial oversight,
- and compliance with all federal and state nonprofit regulations.
Financial statements or annual reports are available upon request.
- Amendments
Serving Hands CDC reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted online and apply to all future donations.
